Diablo-like Path of Exile gets War for your Atlas expansion on

  • Path of Exile is usually a Diablo-like free-to-play game which relies upon purely cosmetic microtransactions to sustain development.

Today, Grinding Gear Games released a whole new expansion for Path of Exile called War for your POE Currency Atlas. War to the Atlas can be acquired now on PC, having an Xbox One version launching later in December. We don't have a very concrete release date to the Xbox One version recently. The game looks stunning around the standard console but better yet on the Xbox One X because it runs at native 4K 60 FPS.

Path of Exile's lore is complicated but this new chapter focuses within the war between two powerful beings known as The Shaper and The Elder. If you've experienced the camp game, you could possibly remember references for the conflict and characters. The expansion adds numerous missions and dungeons so expect a large number of hours of more gameplay. What's most impressive is always that War with the Atlas introduces over thirty new maps using a lot of endgame items.

There may also be ten new gems which act somewhat like active and passive skills. Changing existing ones and finding new combinations radically alters your attacks. While other role-playing games require that you swap out skills, Path of Exile requires one to swap out gems. The expansion also adds the Abyss Challenge League where players can earn mysterious items called Abyss Jewels by fighting enemies erupting from below. Abyss Jewels is usually used to further update your character and components of unique ways. There's a lot more content here so be sure to look into the expansion in the event you play Path of Exile.
